Author Note - #2
It should prolly be noted that the lack of updating is down to two reasons:
1) Coursework sucks... muchly... leaving me with little time to write O_o
2) I'm not really sure where my plot is going... so I shall be sorting that out over Easter ^_^
Watch out for updates in Easter ^_~

Chapter 2
Well... moo... this entry's shorter than the first (didn't think that was quite possible O.o) but once I get into the swing of things I'm planning a regular length once a week. Hopefully about 1000 words. But we'll see, might well be less. Meh, enjoy all the same ^_~

By the time morning came around, both boys were sleeping soundly. They seemed to have had a positive effect on each other, Kieran as a protector and Domonic as reassurance. They made a good team.
Gently, the blonde cracked open an eye, idling his gaze towards the wall straight ahead of him. Then, quietly, he lowered his gaze until he caught sight of Kieran asleep on his floor. For a moment a little confused, Dom raised himself up onto an elbow for a better look. "Kieran?"
A sleepy shift under the blanket was his reply.
One could only wonder what had brought the redhead so stealthily into Dom's room last night. Simple boredom wasn't unheard of, and privately Dom hoped that was all it was.
He got out of bed and stood for a moment. His hair was such a mess that it almost obscured his ears. He subconsciously ran a hand through it as he stepped forward, blue eyes watching the way forward.
"Alright there?"
"Huh?" The utterance accompanied a glance in Kie's direction.
By now Kieran's eyes were open, watching Dom's progress. He then shrugged under the blanket, then sitting up and yawning widely in an almost comedic fashion. "Ignore me," he said with a grin, "I usually talk out of my arse anyway."
He then took his leave, wandering past a confused Dom with his blanket and his pillow dragging along behind him. Baffled, Dom leaned around on the doorframe, watching his flatmate go. "Kie?"
"Yeah?" came the call from the other room.
"Why were you sleeping on my floor?"
"Bored."
"Yeah?"
At the prompt, Kie's head appeared around the doorframe again, his tone light-hearted. "Yup. I get like that sometimes, remember?" Then, without waiting for an answer, he disappeared again - most likely hunting for something he needed but had lost in his cesspit of a room.
"You could tidy it, you'd be able to find things!" called Dom teasingly, retreating into his own room. He, of course, was able to lay his hands on exactly what he needed. There had to be an order to things, Dom felt. While he understood the fact that Kie "knew where everything was", he still couldn't understand how the redhead could live like that.
"What're you?! My fucking mother?!"
Dom chuckled quietly to himself at that. The fact that Kie's voice was louder and closer indicated that he'd popped his head out of his room to deliver that comment. To which Dom declined to reply.

Chapter 1
If this is crap - then I apologise. Read, enjoy, and then let me know what you think :)

It was dark. Groaning a little, the teenage redhead shifted under the blankets to peer out at his digital clock. 3am. What kind of time was this to be awake? And to make it worse, it was the worst kind of awake to be. The kind of awake where you knew you'd never be able to get back to sleep until the next time you're supposed to be paying attention.
Sighing, Kieran flopped back onto his back, letting his green eyes scour the ceiling, searching for some answer to his dilemma. He found nothing. On nights like this he rarely did.
With another hefty sigh, the boy swung his legs out of bed, the rest of his body following as he stood. He stretched for a moment, his feline ears pressing back into his hair as he reached towards the ceiling with his fingertips. Then, he relaxed.
"Time to give the goodygoody a call..." he murmured quietly, slipping his feet into his slippers and pushing his bedroom door open.
Dom's bedroom door was ajar. Not unusual, the blonde was a little claustrophobic. Cautiously, Kieran reached a gentle hand forward. The boys often did this - they were as close as brothers. If one was awake, they had no problem entertaining the boredom of the other. If Dom was asleep, Kie wouldn't wake him.
"Dom?" Quietly the redhead clung to the edge of the door, and whispered to the other. He could make out Dom's silhouette, a bundle in his blankets. "You awake?"
A mumble in response. As Dom shifted in his sleep, Kieran could see the blonde furry ears pressed hard against Dom's head. The blonde's face was also holding a strange expression, one of mild discomfort.
Kie simply shook his head as he stood in the doorway. What was he supposed to do? Dom needed his sleep, and they both had uncomfortable nights for numerous reasons.
"I swear," the redhead murmured lightly, trudging back along the hallway to get his blanket and a pillow. "More trouble than you're worth sometimes." He returned moments later with the required articles, and settled himself on the floor alongside the other. Upon Kie's return, Dom seemed... strangely, more at ease. His ears, while still against his head, weren't pressed quite so ferociously. And Kie could make out a blonde tail hanging out from the side of the blanket. It was still. Which meant internal calm, or at least something close to it.
With a slight smile, Kie settled himself, feeling he too might be able to get a little sleep in Dom's calming - if unconscious - presence.
"But only sometimes..."
